Gil, Grass Farm produces high quality turfgrass for the professional landscape contractors and homeowners alike.  Along with sod and seed, we provide consultation and installation services for landscape architects, garden designers and contractors on athletic fields, cemeteries, commercial landscapes, golf courses, home lawns and parks.

Farming today incorporates more than just producing quality agricultural products; providing sustainable agricultural growing grounds and stewardship of surrounding waterways and ground is paramount in our production processes.  Since 2004, Grass Farm has participated with and in the University of California Cooperative Extension and USDA Natural Resources Conservation Services Farm Water Quality Planning Project.  These efforts have been to care for and improve water quality in the
watersheds of the Pajaro River and the Santa Clara, San Benito, Santa Cruz
and Monterey Counties.  We are sustainable agriculture and work hard
caring for the land which supports our farm and the families that support it.

Our roots grow deep, in 1988 -- Over twenty years ago, Grass Farm
pioneered the use of Double Dwarf Fescues with the introduction of
Champion Double Dwarf. Being known for its fine texture, dense
carpet-like appearance, dark green color, slower growth and deeper
rooting structures our cool season products have rooting systems that
can go deeper than two feet, in the Santa Clara Valley’s soils, to
reach soils water reserves. Champion Double Dwarf provides many
